mentally ill ppl are deserving of love n respect n support even if they:
- relapse
- have bad days or weeks or months
- don’t always exercise or eat healthily or journal or volunteer or drink water or go for walks or go to bed early or (insert another activity that mentally ill ppl are constantly told to do, and that is probably only accessible/effective at certain times for certain ppl)
- are recovering “too slowly” or in a way that doesn’t meet ur standards
- aren’t actively in recovery
- have come to terms w the fact that their mental illness may always have some sort of impact on their life
loving n respecting n supporting mentally ill ppl should not be limited to when they are in recovery or are “getting better” and “getting better” means different things for every mentally ill person.
